I am so sorry she died and could not finish the movie but this movie is good I love most vampire movies.
''There comes a time for every vampire when the idea of eternity becomes momentarily unbearable. Living in the shadows, feeding in the darkness with only your own company to keep, rots into a solitary, hollow existence. Immortality seems like a good idea, until you realize you're going to spend it alone. So I went to sleep, hoping that the sounds of the passing eras would fade out, and a sort of death might happen. But as I lay there, the world didn't sound like the place I had left, but something different.''
Aaliyah: Queen Akasha
Stuart Townsend: Lestat de Lioncourt
The vampire Lestat becomes a rock star whose music invokes the queen of all vampires from slumber.
Being a fan of Vampire movies and knowing full well this is a sequel to Interview with a Vampire i must admit this felt 2nd class. The whole film was fun but no where near as magical.
Focuses more on Lestat than Akasha. Stuart Townsend has had the worst parts I've seen in films, this being the best one i have seen him in so far. Thankfully this film was better than the dire League of Extraordinary Gentlemen...
The acting was quite poor in places sadly.
Music wise it was cool with the whole rock -star angle and feels like a mix between
Underworld, The crow and The Covenant.
Aaliyah, with her Queen character, on the other hand has a magical quality to her but i was annoyed that she wasn't given more to do in the film. I loved her role in Romeo must Die and its a shame she passed away so young.
Would have preferred a more negative ending and not such an unoriginal bland one. I mean all the vampire's at the end looked like they were 2D cut out dolls.
On the whole though it does have some good ideas but sometimes sadly it felt like an episode of Supernatural or Buffy rather than a movie.
stands above other vampire genre films as a worthwhile investment of time
Decent tropical vampire movie with american-atlantic bite
Only because it's vampires! Lol
It's a shame that Anne Rice's brilliant Vampire Chronicles have yet to get the screen adaptations they deserve.
yeah....this is my favourite movie....Stuart Townsend is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!Basically everybody was incredible!!!!!!!1
i got this movie and aaliyah makes a good vampire.so does stuart townsend
This is a great movie, besides the fact that it came nothing close to the novel. THe movie in itself is great, very good vampire movie.
If perfection could be embodied in a movie this one would definatley take the trophy home!!!!!
yeah brillent movie want more of them like said not as good as the book
my god this movie is awesome i saw it in cuba but when i get here i dis not remember the name so i look for it and when i found it i almost cry i was so ecxited
i love dis movie
i love Aaliyah {r.i.p}
i love stuart townsend
dis moie rocks
I love the movie, but it doesn't do the book justice. Sadly, the screenplay left out both the Story of the Twins and the way Akasha really meets her end. They also left out some of the 'Children of The Millenia' like Pandora. Sad sad. Great movie none-the-less. >>
